What is the difference between Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 PRO?

There are two versions of Windows 11 available: Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro. The Pro version may also be used for business, Windows 11 Home is not suitable for business users. There are also some differences in functionality, namely the possibility of connecting to another computer via remote desktop. This is only possible with the Windows 11Pro version.

What is the difference between a Retail and OEM license?

Of Windows 11, there are 2 types of licenses available, Retail and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). The difference between these two types is, that the OEM license can only be installed on new computers ( no operating system is installed on it yet). The retail version can be installed on computers that already have a Windows operating system installed (provided that they meet the minimum system requirements). With the Retail version, a "clean installation" is always done.

How secure is Windows 11?

Queue to security, both versions have come a whole lot closer again, which is of course especially important for home workers who work on their own devices. Think for example of the integration with Bitlocker and Windows Defender. Despite this, it is always advisable to continue using a good virus scanner. Whether you use Windows or Mac OS, new viruses appear every day!
